26 Aug Plague search in pin forests in the Natural Interest zone of Carbassí

A mission has been carried in the Natural Interest zone of Carbassí in order to evaluate the extension of a plague in 62 Ha of a Pinus Nigra forest. The operation, with the cooperation of the Forestry Service of the Catalan Government, demonstrated that a combination of different NIR bands and the NDVI indices allows the discrimination of the ill trees. Furthermore the hard winds found during the flight allowed us to check the correctly acquisition of images despite of the bad meteorological conditions.
